Lake Kawaguchiko & Oishi Park

We finally had our first family road trip this past weekend. We decided to drive to Lake Kawaguchiko and Oishi Park, as a few of our friends had recently visited the area and recommeded. It is about a 90 minute drive from Tokyo via the Chuo Expressway and is located in the Yamanashi Prefecture near Mount Fuji.

Strolling around Tokyo

raincover fits nicely in the stroller basket

Keep calm and just push along

What’s a good stroller to have while living or visiting Tokyo. Prior to moving to Tokyo we had the Nuna Maxx stroller which was a great stroller for us at that time (we lived in the suburbs of NJ and I had an SUV). What the flush?

“We’re not in Kohler anymore Toto”

D. Petriello

Come take a seat and experience the auto-warming seats, the complex bank of adjustable bidet sprays, the anti-bacterial “pre-mist” self-cleaning feature, the euphemistic pictograms: what could be more Japanese?

Documenting our journey

The Vijayanathan Family

“If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write something worth reading or do something worth writing”

Benny Franks

My friend asked me why I wanted to blog and what it means to me.  Well surely, its because I love to write, but it got me thinking about when was the last time I actually wrote something besides an email to my boss.  Has it been that long?
